Why I Love YA Books and Giveaway title

The ever lovely Beth Revis is doing a giveaway to win a YA library of signed books! There’s over 50. Including a full set of her own books: Across the Universe, 100 Million Suns, and Shades of Earth. All of the books are signed. The contest is being held through rafflecopter. (If you aren’t familiar with her books, I highly recommend you check them out- if you are waiting on a review..I can assure you I will have on up on at least the first novel shortly)

My recommendations are as follows for fantasy lovers check out Daughter of Smoke and Bone by: Laini Taylor or Cinder by: Marissa Meyer. For those of you who love angels Hush, hush by: Becca Fitzpatrick, Unearthly by: Cynthia Hand or Fallen by: Lauren Kate. Dystopian lovers! Divergent by: Veronica Roth, Under the Never Sky by: Veronica Rossi, Mystic City by: Theo Lawrence, and Origin by: Jessica Khoury. Fairy enthusiasts will love The Treachery of Beautiful Things by: Ruth Frances Long, Need by: Carrie Jones, Wicked Lovely by: Melissa Marr. Do you like story re-tellings (fairy tales and mythology both) The Goddess Test by: Aimee Carter, Starcrossed by: Josephine Angelini, Everneath by: Brodi Ashton, Beastly by: Alex Flinn, Entwined by: Heather Dixon. And then the ones that don’t have a category the fall into: Carnival of Souls by: Melissa Marr, Seraphina by: Rachel Hartman, The Looking Glass Wars by: Frank Beddor, City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare.

As I update this blog I will be including pages that are themed so if you have a tendency to lean towards a certain ‘type’ of book it’ll be easier to navigate selections that may be of interest to you.

YA is overall such a great genre, there has been such a booming publishing increase that bring you these fantastical tales that we would otherwise might miss. And as this genre grows it seems more apparent that several of these titles can be considered cross-overs and appeal to a broad audience.

Some of my favorites (there will be some repeats from the above list) Daughter of Smoke and Bone by: Laini Taylor – I cannot stress enough how AMAZING this book is. I just…just alsdjalsdhas LOVE it. The Mortal Instruments Series by: Cassandra Clare. I’m sure you’ve seen the teaser trailer out for this..but go read the books! They are great, she has also started a prequel series called the Infernal Devices (which I have not read yet). Mystic City by: Theo Lawrence – there is something utterly dreamy about this novel, I wanted to live there it’s a stunning debut. And lastly (since this post is long as it is) The Treachery of Beautiful Things by: Ruth Frances Long – I am a folklore/fairy lore enthusiast and this book is phenomenal! If you love anything remotely fairy related this is a book not to miss.

P.s. The giveaway title will be a copy of the collector’s edition of Insurgent 🙂 Stay tuned!
